CERTEX wins major order – two gantry cranes for Vossloh
Our largest industrial crane deal to date has now been secured. In August, we will deliver two specially adapted gantry cranes to Vossloh Nordic – a leading supplier within railway infrastructure and track technology, with customers all over the world.
The gantry cranes will be used to handle track switches outdoors – both for storage and for loading onto trains for further transport. Each crane has a lifting capacity of 32 tons, a span of 40 meters, and a lifting height of seven meters. Once installed, the gantry cranes will run along a 200-meter rail track at Vossloh’s facility in Hallsberg.

Adapted for Nordic climate
The gantry cranes will be customized for Nordic winter conditions. For operation in cold and snowy environments, for example, special oil is used in the gearboxes, capable of handling temperatures down to minus 25 degrees Celsius. The cranes will also be equipped with covers over the motors and snow plows to keep the rails clear.
The cranes are ordered from our partner GH Cranes, a world leader in gantry cranes. Delivery to Hallsberg took place during weeks 42–46, and installation will begin at the end of November.
