Spectacular lifting in Sundbyberg, Sweden
On October 20, a spectacular lift took place in Sundbyberg when a bridge weighing 327 tons was moved. The lifting was performed by Scandinavia's largest mobile crane, a Terex Demag CC6800, with a counterweight of 700 tons.
The bridge, which is a combined lattice and concrete bridge, allows ‘Tvärbanan’ to cross ‘Mälarbanan’. The lattice bridge itself is 76 meters long, 11 meters, weighing an incredible 327 tons at the time of the lift.
