Steel Wire Rope M8DPK
Product information
A compacted 8-strand double parallel lay rope, non-rotation resistant. The PWRC-steel core is made of uncompacted strands and the external strands are compacted.
M8DPK offers very high breaking force, reduced elongation and good flexibility. Suitable for applications that don’t require rotation resistant ropes but demands high breaking forces.
- Double parallel construction extends service of life of the rope
- High performance and higher breaking load due to closing rope simultaneously
- Compacted strands increase the high breaking load and reduce abrasion of pulleys
- Minimal elongation at loading
- Thin diameters of wires in inner layer retain flexibility on the rope
- Suitable for multilayer spoling
- Rope construction: 8xK19S-PWRC
- Marking: According to standard
- Temperature range: -40°C up to +200°C, for operating temperatures between 100°C and 200°C reduce MBF by minus 10%
- Standard: EN 12385-4
- Fill factor: 0,70
- RCN: 04

Product FAQ
What surface finish and tensile strength does this steel wire rope have?
This steel wire rope has a Galvanized and is manufactured with a tensile strength of 2160 N/mm².The galvanized coating provides corrosion protection through a zinc layer, making the rope suitable for outdoor use and humid operating conditions.
Does this steel wire rope have any special design or performance features?
This steel wire rope is compacted, resulting in a smoother surface, higher breaking load, and improved wear resistance compared to standard wire rope constructions.
What is the construction, core type, and lay of this steel wire rope?
This steel wire rope is constructed with 8 strands.
It is manufactured with a steel core, offering higher structural stability, improved resistance to crushing, and reliable performance under heavy loads and multi-layer winding conditions.
It is manufactured with an ordinary right-hand lay (sZ), providing a balanced combination of flexibility, wear resistance, and stable handling. This is the most commonly used lay for general It is manufactured with an ordinary left-hand lay (zS), offering similar performance characteristics to right-hand ordinary lay but designed for specific directional or equipment requirement
